“Cuckooranian Vacation”
|
Going back to Cuckoorania, where things are backward, upside down, I was on safari to explore the back streets, and age old towns.
Their leg muscles are real different, they walk backwards buttocks first, they’re cars are different too, they only have reverse.
When I went out to eat, they served me cherry pie, then borscht, after dessert and soup, they brought me the first course.
I was a little late to see a movie, up around the bend, but you can’t miss the beginning of the show, because you’ll see it at the end.
Sometimes you have to stand on your head, to see things the way they really are, the stools and the bottles are upside down, at every coffee shop and bar.
The fans and air-conditioners, suck in instead of blow, the streams and rivers leave the ocean, and ever onward upward flow.
The hardest thing I did was walking backwards, through the towns, it’s also hard to keep in mind, that they’re smiling when they frown.
They are a wee bit backward, but their love makes up for that, though it is a little strange, to see the dogs get chased by cats.
Still anyway you look at it, good grief, for heaven’s sake, their parties and their picnics, have the best upside down cake . . .
