“Whistle Hum or Smile”

It was beak to beak,

in the Seagull Song Café Saloon,

you’ve got to love the birds,

they always sing such lovely tunes

The pelicans were drinking coffee,

 cream and sugar, cinnamon,

ducks were warming their webbed feet,

quacking about the who and when

There were parrots munching pretzels,

 and seagulls having stew,

 everyone was there,

 except for maybe you

There were ravens rock ‘n rolling,

they were ready for their roosts,

there were penguins at the counter,

 enjoying chocolate mouse

Pigeons were pecking popcorn,

 and parading to and fro,

 the servers were all seagulls,

and the doorman was a crow

Come by and flap your wings,

the Seagull Song Café Saloon is beak to beak,

 just whistle, hum, or smile,

 you don’t even have to speak . . .
