“Wild And Free”

It’s the rockin rumbling roar,

of the surf from open ocean,

it’s the way the salty air

  fills your lungs and soul,

  as if a potion.

It’s the steady breakers,

and the rhythm of high tide then low,

its seagulls, pelicans and sand pipers,

in never ending sea shore shows.

It’s the mysteries of what lingers,

   just below the salty waves,

  down on the ocean floor,

and back in the hidden caves.

It’s the sights, the sounds, and smells,

that were here before mankind came to be,

its songs above and below the ocean,

that keep your spirit wild and free…
