“Moonlighter’s Delight”
Furry masked bandits are out,
play rocky raccoon,
leave them something to munch,
beneath the half moon
These artists are breaking,
into garbage cans,
some are good pets,
like best friends of man
They know well hidden places,
beneath highways and streets,
appearing like shadows,
on small furry feet
They do wash their dinner,
while dining out on the town,
water and food,
their saliva is down
Masked bandits of midnight,
when the owls take flight,
day sleepers like felines,
moonlighter’s delight . . .
