“An Aqua Adventure”

Grab your raincoats and your rubber boots,

we’re on our way out to the coast,

we’re going to do a rain dance,

and I’ve been elected to play host

It’s a real aqua adventure,

we’re rolling out to Cannery Row,

buckle up, listen to the music,

 watch old Mother Nature’s show

Fur, feathers, fins, and gills,

look at the octopus and krill,

check out the turtles and angel fish,

cross your fingers, make a wish

The hermit crabs are hiding,

you know they like to be alone,

could it be that even the orcas,

have their very own cell phones

The seals are wearing wetsuits,

they have for eons now gone by,

 watch the diving cormorant birds,

 even underwater they can fly

The pelicans are taking showers,

as they cruise along the bay,

the baby sea lions are so silly,

all they want to do is play

Way down deep in the ocean,

there are fish that cannot see,

just look at all the beauty,

that’s still out there wild and free

If we had a submarine,

a different world we could explore,

 an underwater adventure,

with a view of heaven’s door

Up on the street people are scampering,

 I don’t know why, they’re waterproof,

 besides they have umbrellas,

 and lots of overhanging roofs

Fur, feathers, fins, and flippers,

 it’s just another rainy day,

hold on now, just a minute,

here comes the sun, let’s go and play . . .
