“Sundown Serenade”
The coyotes are coyoteing,
chasing rabbits on the run,
the desert heat is now deserting,
you’d think that day is almost done
The owls are now owling,
like waking owls always do,
the clouds are turning colors,
it’s true that day is almost through
The bats are being batty,
while hanging upside down,
day time is at its end,
soon the stars will come around
Mother Nature’s being motherly,
like most mothers like to do,
so goes my sundown serenade,
God is love, the day is through . . .
