“Rickety Crickety”

Rickety crickety,

 there’s frogs in the sink,

 and piglets in the pantry,

 with skin all curly pink

There’s gophers in the garbanzo beans,

 and chipmunks in the chips,

 salamanders in the salsa,

and kittens in the onion dip

The crows are in the croutons,

 There’s parakeets in the punch,

all the critters are on happy street,

 but what about my lunch?

There’s bluebirds in the blackberries,

and black bears in the beans,

 a dragonfly upon my hat,

and a ladybug on my jeans

There’s rabbits in the relish,

 and puppies in the punch,

 everybody’s happy,

but I still don’t have my lunch

There’s ducklings in the doughnuts

 and turtles saying hello.

Everybody’s fat and happy

but I’m still a hungry fellow!

There’s frogs and crickets in the cheese,

and ants are hauling stuff below,

lightning bugs are in the stew,

 and getting quite a glow.

I guess it’s everybody’s party,

and I’m here to play the host,

my lunch is finally ready,

 peanut butter, jam, and toast.

Stop in when you pass by,

 everything’s peachy keen,

there’s still apples, pears, and oranges,

 sweet corn and lima beans.

Rickety, crickety,

 there’s frogs in the sink,

and piglets in the pantry

with skin all curly pink . . .
