“Fur, Feathers, Fins and Hoofs”

Ravens and coyotes,

 feathers and fur,

 mixed with carrots and potatoes,

 they’re soupe du jour

Now don’t get me wrong,

 I’m joking good grief,

if they came to my table,

I’d dine with them on beef

Yet, I like cattle too,

so it might just be chicken,

 cooked up like the Colonel’s,

 golden brown and finger licken’

Yet chickens are friendly,

 they never hurt me,

so we might have to dine,

on a fish from the sea

Hold on now a minute,

 my goldfish are neat,

so that rules out fish fries,

 poultry and meat

They’re just gonna have to,

 eat potatoes and bread,

 that way nothing dies,

and we all four get fed

The chickens are happy,

 there’s fish in the sea,

fur, feathers, fins, and hoofs,

 they’re all friends to me . . .
