“Delicacies”

 

Jackrabbit, flap jacks,

 coyote stew,

 lizard licorice,

 moon cheese, light blue.

 

Rattlesnake rhubarb,

 prairie dog cake,

 I’m just joking,

 for heaven’s sake.

 

Packrat jelly,

 scorpion jam,

 humming bird nectar,

 cactus and yams.

 

Desert delicacies,

 then dessert,

 crickets chirp, coyotes howl,

 what a concert.

 good grief, I’m joking,
