“Invasion”

There’s mice in the pantry,

 and bats in the eaves,

something’s eating all the house plants,

 the flowers and the trees

Ants and uncles have supply lines,

through the windows and the doors,

 there’s termites in the rafters,

 the walls and wooden floors

Locusts just invaded,

 someone’s garden down the block,

 beetles are playing bugles,

while they march along the walk

The spider webs are so big,

 they resemble fishing nets,

 the cockroaches are busy,

 playing cards and placing bets

Outside the gophers have a golf course,

 complete with eighteen holes,

 while underground there’s mining tunnels,

 created by the moles

The praying mantis have been praying,

 their cups are running over,

 while the bumblebees and crickets,

 are invading all the clover.

Flies are flying in formation,

 above the sink and bed,

 if they start dropping bombs,

the ants will all be dead

I do love Mother Nature,

but when it comes to an invasion,

sometimes you have to walk away,

 and find a new location . . .
