“Owls Are Awakening”

 

The lizards are on  lazy street,

  basking in the setting sun,

  the crickets are starting their chorus,

  now that day is almost done

 

The coyotes are coyoteing,

  listen to them bark and sing,

  mother natures’ busy,

  with the miracles of spring

 

Frogs are on their lily pads,

  waiting for some flies,

  owls are awakening,

  and starting to look wise

 

Twilight time is here,

  sundown has arrived,

  smell the April lilacs,

  how can the world be more alive…
