“Giddy Up and Get Along”

The pigeons are parading,

 the butterflies are fluttering,

 everything that hasn’t flopped,

 is busy flapping wings

The ground squirrels and the chipmunks,

 are chattering then chippering,

 Mother Nature’s being motherly,

it’s enough to make you sing

The ducks are feeling ducky,

 the geese are getting loose,

 the deer are being dearly,

antlers and smiles have the moose

The crickets are now cricketing,

 the frogs are being frank,

 turtles are now turtling,

 sleeping on the river bank

The dragonflies are hovering,

the humming birds are humming songs,

 sing a summertime serenade,

giddy up and get along . . .
