“Coffee, Crackers and Cheddar”

A seagull and cormorant,

 were talking fishing over lunch,

the sea lions and the seals,

 were diving deep, at brunch

The pigeons were parading,

they like to eat while on the fly,

but lots of people are stuck in traffic,

maybe to them life’s do or die

Life above the ocean,

isn’t at all like life below,

the ozone layer is now changing,

there’s different sun, rain, wind, and snow.

Mother Nature’s now real busy,

 trying to change and compensate,

we’ve got to do the best we can,

 to conserve, there’s no debate

Some silly people think that planet Earth,

can take a lot of strain,

they need to listen to the oceans,

and maybe even use their brains

The pelicans and the puffins,

 are now working hard together,

 sitting beak to beak,

 talking about the changing weather

Some folks need to soak their heads,

 and listen to the whales,

they’ve sang their songs for who knows how long,

 below explorer’s wind filled sails

Yea, it’s a picnic on the pacific,

so far the sea life’s doing better,

how about a little coffee or some tea,

and maybe crackers, with fresh cheddar . . .
