“Time to Turn Earth Back Around”

Misty, salty, and mysterious,

it’s been that way, for eons in the past,

 but without wide awareness,

 the ocean’s rhythm cannot last

White and wild and wondrous,

the high mountains snow pack is a dream,

 but without less pollution,

it could well be a changing scene

Sandy serenading solitude,

 but the desert’s showing strain,

it’s time to turn earth back around,

 mankind’s pollution is to blame

Green with growth beyond compare,

still many miracles to be found,

but the rain forests and the jungles,

 are becoming barren ground

Beautiful, fresh, pristine,

streams and rivers rolling to the sea,

 but without loving conservation,

much too soon that may not be

Tears from the children’s eyes,

if earth’s true treasures can’t be around,

 how can mankind destroy,

so many blessings to be found . . .
