“Conversations with Cows”

Fur, feathers, fins, and hoofs,

I’m more at home out on the farm,

the food and friends are better,

and it doesn’t cost a leg and arm

Asphalt won’t grow anything,

 but another parking space,

for the cars from here to planet Mars,

 to pause amid the race

Fur and feathers, fins and hoofs,

 good company for me,

You can have the hectic lifestyle,

 I’d rather climb a tree

You can work yourself to heart-attack ville,

 I’d rather talk to cows,

 and hear the horses whinny,

 while the kittens sing meows

I’ve seen the games with little gain,

 fur, feathers, hoofs and fins,

beyond the hustle of the city,

on the farm await my friends . . .
