“Flying Crawling Buzzing Fluttering”
The butterflies are freely fluttering,
and the bees are busy buzzing,
the ants are getting antsy,
marching somewhere by the dozens
The beetles are behaving,
half asleep beneath a log,
frogs are singing songs,
and baby sitting pollywogs
Lightning bugs are laying down,
recharging in the sun,
getting ready for their light show,
once the day is finally done
Gnats are being naughty,
flying almost in my eyes,
on and off there’s humming songs,
provided by the flies
Life is flying, crawling, buzzing, fluttering,
outside almost everywhere,
springtime has arrived,
on the ground and in the air
Though nature was asleep,
just a short time ago,
she’s now alive and well,
and really putting on a show
Oh by the way the praying mantis,
are once more practicing their prayers,
so show lots of respect,
for the insects birds and bears…
