“Etched In Memory”
Close your eyes,
drift back in time,
to when it was swing-sets,
and nursery rhymes
To the days of Peter Pan,
Robin Hood, Dr. Seuss ©,
when friends could be chipmunks,
a mouse or a moose
Go there again,
drift back in time,
back when soda pop and candy,
were only a dime
Those were the times,
we knew dreams could come true,
as yet timeless times,
we slowly passed through
Such magical times,
where we seemed to love more,
great childhood memories,
as we passed through life’s doors
Those times haven’t left us,
they’re just back in the past,
etched in our memories,
forever to last…
